Munger, Tolles & Olson litigation partner Kristin Linsley Myles will discuss the Alien Tort Statute (ATS) on June 28 on a panel titled “Human Rights Litigation After Kiobel.”
The panel will address the potential outcomes and effect of Kiobel v. Royal Dutch Petroleum, a case pending before the U.S. Supreme Court on the scope of the ATS. Speakers will also discuss the future of human rights litigation in the post-Kiobel world.
Munger Tolles attorney Aaron G. Leiderman, a member of the Executive Committee of the Litigation Section, organized the panel, which is also sponsored by the International Practice and Appellate Sections.
The panel will take place from 6:00-7:30 p.m. at the BASF Conference Center, 301 Battery Street, 3rd Floor.
Ms. Myles’ practice focuses on complex business litigation in a wide spectrum of matters affecting the firm’s corporate clients. Mr. Leiderman’s practice focuses on complex civil litigation. Both are resident in the San Francisco office.
