Martin Estrada Reflects on Career Journey in Guest Appearance on the American College of Trial Lawyers’ “Trial Tested” Podcast

Munger, Tolles & Olson partner and Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers E. Martin Estrada was recently interviewed in the newest episode of “Trial Tested: A podcast by the American College of Trial Lawyers.”

In the interview, Martin, who recently returned to MTO after serving as the United States Attorney for the Central District of California, shared his journey from being the first in his family to attend law school to his distinguished career as a federal prosecutor and private attorney. Martin also detailed how his family’s immigration from Guatemala shaped his deep appreciation for the U.S. legal system and motivated his commitment to justice and public service.

He also shared how impactful mentoring has been in his career and how he pays it forward with the next generation, saying, “Mentoring has always been critical and really gratifying to me. I got to work with a lot of junior lawyers, help them out, give them opportunities, give them experience. And I continue to do that.” He added, “I’m proud of the fact that a lot of the lawyers who I mentor went on to become AUSAs, went on to become partners at the law firm, and have really had excellent careers.”

“Trial Tested” presents interviews with prominent trial lawyers and significant figures in the world of trial law and aims to inspire trial attorneys to maintain and improve the standards of trial practice, professionalism, ethics and the administration of justice.
