Miriam Kim Named a 2024 Woman Leader in Tech Law by The Recorder
Munger, Tolles & Olson partner Miriam Kim was named a Woman Leader in Tech Law (Litigation) as part of The Recorder’s 2024 California Legal Awards. The award recognizes women lawyers handling game-changing, law-shaping, market moving work within the technology sector.
In addition to her long-recognized experience in trade secrets and IP protection, false advertising and technology litigation, Ms. Kim has become a pioneer in generative artificial intelligence (AI). Technology companies and community leaders regularly seek her guidance on challenging issues arising from the intersection of law and AI. Ms. Kim has devoted much of her time over the last year to exploring how generative AI tools can help bridge the access to justice gap. She conducted a first-of-its-kind field study while a fellow at UC Berkeley School of Law and educated legal aid lawyers and the broader legal community on the use of generative AI for the practice of law.
In addition to Ms. Kim’s recognition, Rose Ehler was named a winner in the Lawyers on the Fast Track category and Munger, Tolles & Olson was also named a finalist in the Tech Industry Litigation Department of the Year category. The winner for the latter category will be announced in October during an awards ceremony in Los Angeles.
