Ronald Olson, Brad Brian and Bethany Kristovich Named Among 2024 Top 100 Lawyers in California

Munger, Tolles & Olson is pleased to share that three of our attorneys have been recognized by the Daily Journal in its 2024 Top 100 Lawyers list, which recognizes the top lawyers in California annually. Those honored include Name Partner Ronald Olson, Firm Chair Brad Brian and Partner Bethany Kristovich.

This is the fifth year that Mr. Olson and Mr. Brian have been honored as Top 100 Lawyers, after previously being named in 2023, 2022, 2021 and 2019. This is the second year in a row Ms. Kristovich has been named to the list.

The Daily Journal recognized Mr. Olson for his decades of experience in litigation and corporate counseling in a wide range of matters, including transactions, corporate governance and litigation and executive compensation. His recent work includes counseling executives, such as Google founders Sergey Brin and Larry Page, representing Berkshire Hathaway in various matters, and counseling Activision in defending claims of discrimination from the California Department of Civil Rights. Mr. Olson also serves on the boards for Western Asset Funds Board, Berkshire Hathaway and California Institute of Technology.

Mr. Brian was recognized for his practice spanning a wide range of industries and a “who’s who” of clients, including PG&E, Hawaiian Electric Industries, Inc., Activision Blizzard and more. He is also regularly called upon to handle the most important public interest cases in California, of which he most recently secured a historic preliminary injunction pausing the enforcement of L.A. County’s cash bail schedule and eliminating cash bail for individuals arrested on most low-level, non-violent offenses. The firm’s work in Urquidi v. City of Los Angeles earned MTO a 2024 Daily Journal CLAY Award.

Ms. Kristovich was recognized for her ability to drive to resolution bet-the-company cases in various contexts, having led defenses against multimillion- and billion-dollar claims in various industries. She is a go-to lawyer in times of crisis and has represented Philip Morris USA, PG&E and MGM Resorts in their most significant and challenging matters. Lawyers and law firms now also make up a significant portion of her clientele and they seek out Ms. Kristovich for counsel on malpractice claims, conflicts and everything in between.
