2L Inclusivity Scholarship

Description

At Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP, a workforce that is diverse in all respects improves our ability to serve the needs of our clients and creates a more dynamic workplace for our attorneys. As a result inclusivity has always been—and continues to be—a cornerstone of our firm. We work hard to foster an inclusive environment where all of our lawyers can thrive and contribute fully and authentically to all aspects of firm life.

Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP’s 2L Inclusivity Scholarship recognizes the achievements of, and supports outstanding law students whose past experiences and activities show that they will take actions that will contribute to the inclusivity of our law firm and the legal community. The scholarship will be awarded to select participants in our 2L summer program in the amount of up to $25,000 (less applicable taxes and withholdings) and will be paid in two installments. The first $15,000 of the scholarship will be paid after the student begins summer employment, and the balance of $10,000 will be paid when the student starts as a full‐time associate at the firm and is contingent upon receiving a full-time offer and becoming a full-time associate at the firm.

Requirements

All 2L Scholarship candidates must be second‐year law students in good standing pursuing a J.D. at an ABA‐accredited law school. Successful candidates will have a record of academic achievement, employment and community service indicating great potential to excel in the legal profession and to take actions that will contribute to the inclusivity of Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP and the legal community. Candidates must submit a personal statement that addresses their commitment to furthering inclusivity in the legal profession.
