Clare Kane is an attorney in the San Francisco office of Munger, Tolles & Olson, where she focuses on natural resources law.

Clare is a lead representative for significant agricultural interests in Arizona in complex, multi-party negotiations regarding the future of the Colorado River. She also has experience with Clean Water Act, NEPA, tribal, and environmental litigation in state and federal court. She maintains an active pro bono practice representing applicants for asylum.

Clare served as a law clerk to the Honorable Richard A. Paez of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the Honorable Jesus G. Bernal and Honorable John W. Holcomb of the United States District Court for the Central District of California.

Prior to clerking, Clare was a fellow at the Asylum Seeker Advocacy Project. She earned her J.D. from Yale Law School and her B.A. in English Literature from Yale University. She is a former public school teacher and spends her free time exploring America’s public lands.
