Robert Bowen is a litigation associate in the Los Angeles office of Munger, Tolles & Olson.

Mr. Bowen’s  practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, trials, and investigations. He has litigated both civil and criminal claims and in both state and federal court. His experience includes drafting and opposing dispositive motions, taking and defending depositions, working with expert witnesses, managing discovery, and appellate briefing.

In addition, Mr. Bowen maintains an active impact litigation pro bono practice. Among other representations, Mr. Bowen has represented plaintiffs in suits regarding discriminatory and unlawful practices by government agencies in facilitating federal immigration enforcement.

Mr. Bowen earned his J.D. from UCLA School of Law. While in law school, he was a member of the Moot Court Honors Program and Professor Eugene Volokh’s First Amendment Amicus Brief Clinic and was a research assistant to Professor Richard M. Re.

Before attending law school, Mr. Bowen served on the legislative staff of Senator Carl M. Levin. He holds a B.A. in political science and history from the University of Michigan.
