Brad Brian Named Lawyer of the Decade
Partner and Chair of Munger, Tolles & Olson Brad Brian was named one of the Top Lawyers of the Decade in California by the Daily Journal on Jan. 20, 2021.
Mr. Brian was chosen out of hundreds of nominees as one of only 18 honorees for this distinction, which honors attorneys who have contributed to the events that defined the 2010s.
Throughout the decade, Mr. Brian served as lead counsel on a number of high-profile, unprecedented national crisis cases. As noted by the Daily Journal, Mr. Brian’s representation of Transocean in the criminal and civil litigation in New Orleans arising out of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill, was the crisis that kicked off the decade. The Daily Journal also acknowledged his defense of the MGM Resorts against the thousands of claims arising from the 2017 shooting tragedy that took place in Las Vegas, and his lengthy work for PG&E in the multibillion-dollar civil and criminal cases arising from the 2017-2018 Northern California wildfires.
The Daily Journal also recognized Mr. Brian’s skill as a trial lawyer for which he has received numerous accolades in the past, but it is dedication to ensuring opportunities abound for more junior attorneys – a core tenet of the firm – that makes him a true leader amongst top lawyers.
