Ronald Olson, Brad Brian and Martin Estrada Among 2021 Top 100 Lawyers in California

Once again, Munger, Tolles & Olson name partner Ronald L. Olson and Firm Chair Brad D. Brian were named among the Daily Journal’s Top 100 Lawyers in California. Partner E. Martin Estrada made his debut this year on this prestigious list that recognizes elite lawyers in California who are  doing cutting-edge legal work and making an impact in the legal industry.

Mr. Olson was recognized for advising major companies in significant corporate deals and litigation including his representation of Microsoft Inc. co-founder, Bill Gates, in matters involving the Gates’ marriage. Also highlighted was Mr. Olson’s representation of McDonald’s Corp. in its effort to claw back most of a reported $56 million in cash, bonuses, benefits and stock options it granted its former CEO who was terminated.

The Daily Journal showcased Mr. Brian’s representation of high-profile clients in complex and difficult lawsuits and investigations, including law firms Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP, Sidley Austin LLP, and investment management firm, Fortress Investment Group. In the profile, Mr. Brian noted, “I feel really fortunate to be able to represent great clients in some of their most challenging, important matters.”

Mr. Estrada’s profile featured his successes in representing high-profile clients, including SoCal Edison, a large power company, in winning summary judgment against plaintiff households that claimed a Redondo Beach electrical substation emitted harmful stray electrical currents. Mr. Estrada’s equally important pro bono docket was emphasized as well.
