Miriam Kim Honored as a 2024 Champion of Justice by OneJustice for Innovative Pro Bono and Nonprofit Legal Services

Munger, Tolles & Olson is pleased to share that partner Miriam Kim has been honored by OneJustice as a 2024 Champion of Justice. The honor recognizes individuals and organizations who have gone above and beyond to provide legal services to community members in need. Ms. Kim and the other 2024 honorees will be recognized on June 13 during OneJustice’s 2024 Opening Doors to Justice event at The Battery in San Francisco.

OneJustice acts as a support center for legal aid nonprofits and pro bono partners while also working to maximize the impact of pro bono volunteers across California. When the time came for OneJustice to provide training to the legal aid community on generative artificial intelligence (AI), Ms. Kim — a leading lawyer in litigation related to technology and intellectual property, who has also been increasingly focused on genAI and the law — was an integral contributor to OneJustice’s efforts.

Previously, Ms. Kim was a featured panelist at OneJustice’s California Pro Bono Conference and provided training to OneJustice’s monthly California Joint Pro Bono Manager Forum on how to craft an AI policy. She has trained legal aid lawyers and pro bono managers across the state on the potential use of generative AI to increase access to justice.
