Miriam Kim Speaks with LegalTech News on AI Predictions in 2025

Munger, Tolles & Olson partner Miriam Kim shared her predictions for how Artificial Intelligence (AI) might impact the legal field in 2025 in an article titled “Legal Tech’s Predictions for Artificial Intelligence in 2025,” published by LegalTech News.

The article discusses various predictions and insights about the impact and regulation of AI for the year 2025. It includes perspectives from multiple experts on how AI will evolve, be regulated (or not), and influence different aspects of the legal field.

Miriam highlights that in 2024, lawyers experimented with various new AI tools while adhering to new guidelines issued by the American Bar Association and state bar associations. She predicts that with these guidelines in place, 2025 will see law firms moving beyond basic AI implementations towards more sophisticated systems that integrate with existing workflows and databases. Companies adopting strategic integration of these systems, while emphasizing attorney-client privilege and client confidentiality, will be well positioned.

“Those focused on strategic (AI) implementation will create lasting infrastructure, while those adopting technology without purpose will find themselves building on shifting sand,” Miriam said.
